27Sep Cyber Crimes
This is 21st century. As we are getting advanced, there are various technologies invented for committing a crime. These crimes are eventually lack in computer security which aid in cyber criminals to commit it. A cyber criminal may not intend to make any harm but they end up doing so. They actually do no damage but cause a person or a company some annoyance. Some computer crimes are perpetrated for kicks, and some for social or political causes; others are the serious business of professional criminals. In fact, there are no other crimes which can be classified so broadly in types of criminals and severity of their offences.
There are many ways to categorize computer crimes. One can divide these according to the person who commits and with what motivation or you can divide them according to haw they are perpetrated. I have divided these crimes by the security required to prevent them.
Physical security
Protection of the physical building, computer related equipment and media (e.g., disks and tapes).
Personnel security
Protection of the people who work in any organization and protection of computer equipment and data from these people and others outside the organization.
Communications security
Protection of software and data, especially as it passes from computer to computer.
Operations security
Protection of the procedures used to prevent and detect security breaches, and the development of methods of prevention and detection.
